December 9 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 pm

Start your holiday shopping with a gift to a child.

The Summer Reading Program is a free, six-week program for children aged 0-18 at all Lee County Libraries that encourages learning over the vacation months. Every child gets to choose a free new book for their own. It could be the only book the child possesses. Every year participation grows. Last year, 10,000 children enrolled and more are anticipated in 2018. To ensure funding for all the books that will be needed, the Friends of Lee County Libraries are partnering with Barnes & Noble for a Book Fair on Saturday, December 9 from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Fun activities taking place during the day include BN storytime, face painting, balloon animals, STEM activities, multi-author adult book signing and a visit with Santa. Schedules of activities are available at stores, at Lee County Library branches and online at Friends’ websites and Facebook pages of the Friends and local Barnes and Noble stores.
